PENALTY IMPOSED FOR SELLING SUB-STANDARD FOOD ITEMS

The Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration has informed that District Magistrate- North Goa has imposed penalty on food business operators for manufacturing and selling sub-standard food items and for unlicensed and unhygienic food business.

Penalty of Rs. 2,00,000/- is imposed on M/s Shree Chemfood Pvt. Ltd., Sy. No. 350, Salt City Village Chopdava, Kutchh, Gujarat 370140 for selling misbranded and sub-standard Iodised Salt. Penalty of Rs. 50,000/- is imposed on Dharwad Mishra Pedha and Food Processing Industry G. A Mishra Farm House, near Navodaya School, Kyarakopppa Road, Dharwad – 580007, Karnataka for selling Motichoor Laddoo (lose).

Penalty of Rs. 1,00,000/- is imposed on Shri Nitin Wadhwa, Partern of M/s Dias Club, C/o P and P Corporation, Sy. No. 509/1, Gaum Vaddi Anjuan, Bardez for selling food articles without valid FSSAI State license.

Penalty of Rs. 2,00,000/- is imposed on M/s Jagarnath Salt Pvt. Ltd, Survey No. 164/P1, 165 Rann Road, near Railway Station, Post- Kharaghoda District Surendranagar, Gujarat – 382760 (manufacture) for selling misbranded and sub-standard Taza Shuddh Salt and penalty of Rs. 10,000/- is imposed on Smt. Pooja Prajapati, M/s Ganesh Goa Sweet Corner, Shop No. 409/1, Vaman building, Mesta Bhat, Merces, Tiswadi for selling sub-standard quality Mysore Pak.
