DM SOUTH IMPOSES PENALTY FOR SELLING SUB STANDARD IODISED SALT

District Magistrate, South Goa has imposed penalty on food business operators for manufacturing and selling sub-standard captain cook (Iodised Salt).

Penalty of Rs. 1,50,000/- is imposed on M/s Hindustan Unilver Ltd, S. No. 281, Salt City, Village Chopadva, Taluka Bhachaum, Kachch Gujarat. Penalty of Rs. 50,000/- is on imposed M/s Chotubhai Agencies, C-10, Industrial Area, Udyamnagar, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra.

Similarly, penalty of Rs. 50,000/- is imposed on M/s Methani Enterprises, Sh, AG-10, Suyash Garden, Hsg, Board Circle, Gogal, Margao and fine of Rs. 5,000/- on is imposed M/s Rehman Traders General Merchant, Caraimoddi, Curchorem.

And also Rs. 1,50,000/- penalty imposed on Smt. Amita Ankush Shetkar, Food Business Operator/ Vendor of M/s. Shantadurga General Store, Shop No. 6, Panchayat building, Tamso da Dharbandora and Western India Sea brinesPvt. Ltd, S. No. 281, Salt City, Village Chopadva, Taluka- Bachaum, Kachch, Gujarat for selling sub standard quality of captain cook (Iodised Salt).
