COMMENCEMENT OF FIRST LEVEL CHECKING OF EVMS AND VVPATS

District Election Officer, South Goa has informed that the First Level Checking (FLC) will be conducted at 1st Floor, Old Collectorate building, opposite MMC Garden, Margao from August 17 to August 31, 2026 under the supervision of the officers concerned and in accordance with the instructions and guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.

During the FLC process, the EVMs and VVPATs will be subjected to prescribed technical checks and verification by authorized engineers/ technical personnel in the presence of the representatives of recognized political parties as per the procedure laid down by the Election Commission of India.

All recognized political parties are being informed separately regarding the schedule of the FLC and are requested to depute their authorized representatives to remain present during the process.

The FLC is an important preparatory exercise aimed at ensuring the proper functioning and readiness of the EVMs and VVPATs for their use in the forthcoming General Election to the Legislative Assembly Constituencies, 2027.
