STRESS IS LAID ON STRENGTHENING INFRASTRUCTURE IN HEALTH SECTOR- CM

The Government of Goa is working on the policy of health for all and therefore has laid thrust on strengthening infrastructure for the health sector. Apart from this the Government has provided various health cards to eligible citizen to avail necessary health service whenever required stated Chief Minister Dr.Pramod Sawant who was speaking at the handing over ceremony of Deendayal Health Care Hospital Building to Deendayal Janseva Pratishthan at Mantralaya, Porvorim today. The Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. under CSR initiative constructed the building which was handed over today.
Chief Minister speaking further said that the Government cares about the health of the people and therefore always intends to reach medical facilities in rural areas as well. He said the CSR initiative of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd towards integrated development of society is praiseworthy. He also said such a multi-facility project with multi facility will cater to the needs of the people from Bicholim and surrounding areas in the State and hoped for commencement of this hospital on time.
MLA & Chairman of Info-tech Corporation Goa Ltd. Dr,Chandrakant Shetye while appreciating the CSR initiative of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. sought help to start the functioning of the hospital at the earliest.
MLA and Chairman of Goa State Horticulture Corporation Ltd. Shri Premendra Shet while thanking Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. said that this medical project with both Ayurvedic and Allopathic medical facilities will be boon for the people from Bicholim and others in the State.
Executive Director of HR at Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Dr. Mukesh Ranjan Das lauded the initiatives of Goa Government in the field of health. He said he has observed that the state Government is very much sensitive towards the health of the people due to which he said the Goa Government has implemented various health schemes in the interest of the people. He also focussed on other initiatives of the state Government towards proper waste management thus striving to keep Goa clean and green. He said they are very happy to contribute to the Goa health sector through their CSR initiative.
Executive Director and State Head. Maharashtra State office, IOCL, Mr. Saumitra P. Srivastava in his address said IOCL always intends to contribute towards betterment of society. He said IOCL under its CSR initiative helps Government in sustainable development addressing issues like environment thus ensuring clean and green future
