150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF BHAGWAN BIRSA MUNDA FROM NOV 15

The steering committee under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant, has been constituted to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the Tribal Youth Icon of India. On the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary celebration, the IEC Campaign of the newly launched scheme of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, New Delhi titled `Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA)’ will be held in both the North and South Goa districts. ‘Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA)’ will be held at Ravindra Bhavan, Sanquelim. Birsa Munda Gaurav Yatra will be flagged off at Hutatma Smarak, Patradevi, Pernem.

November 15, is the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda which is celebrated every year as `Janjatiya Gaurav Divas’ in India. November 15, 2024 to November 26, 2025 will be celebrated as `Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh’.

To mark the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi will address the nation from Jamui, Bihar and the programme will be streamed live across the States in India.
