FELICITATION OF ELIGIBLE GRAM PANCHAYATS AS TB MUKT PANCHAYAT UNDER TB MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN.

Seven Gram panchayats will be felicitated during Independence Day celebration on 15th August 2026 under TB Mukt Panchayat initiative in recognition of their outstanding contribution towards achieving the objectives of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. These includes Gram Panchayats of V.P. Shiroda, V.P. Revora, V.P. Nerul, V.P. Azossim- Mandur, V.P. Borim, V.P. Sarzora and V.P. Dharbandora.

V. P. Shiroda has achieved the gold status while other V. P. Panchayats has achieved silver status under the TB Mukt Panchayat initiative.

The TB Mukt Panchayat initiative was launched by the Prime Minister of India as part of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan to accelerate India’s efforts towards eliminating tuberculosis through active participation of Gram Panchayats and local self-government institutions.

For the year 2025, a total of 87 Gram Panchayats in Goa have qualified under the TB Mukt Panchayat Initiative by fulfilling all six prescribed criteria. Of these, 1 Gram Panchayat has achieved Gold status, 7 Gram Panchayats have achieved Silver status, and 78 Gram Panchayats have achieved Bronze status.
