SPEAKER MEETS PM NARENDRA MODI

The Speaker, Goa Legislative Assembly, Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar, met the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and expressed gratitude the Union Government for its decision regarding reservation for Scheduled Tribe (ST) in the Goa Legislative Assembly.

During the meeting, the Speaker also apprised the Prime Minister about the proposed celebration marking 25 years of the present Goa Legislative Assembly building which is a significant milestone in the State’s parliamentary journey.

The Speaker also shared details of the planned commemorative programme and sought the Prime Minister’s gracious support and guidance to make the Silver Jubilee celebrations a memorable occasion.

The meeting reflected the Goa Legislative Assembly’s appreciation for the continued support and guidance of the Prime Minister and the Union Government towards the people and democratic institutions of Goa.
