4TH ALL GOA INTER-SCHOOL TIATR COMP. FROM AUG. 3RD

The Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG) will be organizing the 4th All Goa Inter-School Tiatr Competition 2026 from August 3 to 12, 2026 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, to promote Konkani tiatr among students.

The competition will be inaugurated on August 3 at 3:15 p.m. Eminent Doctor and Educationalist, Dr Ernesto Rodrigues will be the chief guest while Director of Education Shri Shailesh Zingade will be the guest of honour. Ms. Anita Fernandes (Com. Anita), famed tiatrist will attend as Special Invitee. TAG President Shri Anthony Barbosa and Vice President Shri Marcos Gonsalves will also be present.

Six schools from across the state will stage their tiatrs during the competition. The Rosary High School, Cujira, St. Cruz will present tiatr Doxi Konn? on August 3, followed by Fatima Convent High School, Margao with Lhan Murti Mhan Kirti on August 4. Our Lady of Carmel High School, Curtorim will stage Uttaboxeo on August 5, while Our Lady of Divar High School, Divar will present tiatr Pissolim on August 6. St. Xaviers High School, Velim will perform tiatr Picnic on August 7 and Our Lady of the Rosary High School, Dona Paula will stage Bim Toxem Bhatt tiatr on August 12.

TAG President Anthony Barbosa has appealed to students, teachers and art enthusiasts to witness the performances and support the young tiatrists in this celebration of Goan culture.
