DIGGING OF ROADS PROHIBITED

The District Magistrate, North Goa has prohibited any person, agency, organization from digging any type of roads, road shoulder, lanes or thoroughfares or a part thereof without the written permission of the District Magistrate, North Goa, in the territorial jurisdiction of North Goa District.

Only applications and requests of road cutting activities of general public, Government Departments and others which are urgent in nature for the purpose of water, sewerage, electrical connection and others are to be addressed to the concerned Departments which shall be forwarded to the District Magistrate, North Goa along with the recommendation and justification for further action in the matter.

Appropriate action shall be taken against anyone found violating the order under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanita, 2023. This order has come into force from August 24, 2025 and shall remain in operation for a period of 15 days.
