APPLICATIONS INVITED FOR PRE-MATRIC & POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ST STUDENTS

The Directorate of Tribal Welfare has implemented the Centrally Sponsored Schemes for Pre-Matric (Grades IX and X) and Post-Matric Scholarships for ST students, with applications being invited online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) (https://scholarships.gov.in).
For the academic year 2024-25, the portal has been opened on July 22, 2024, and the last date for application submissions is December 31, 2024. Following these dates, the last date for INO Level Verification will be on January 15, 2025, and the last date for the District Level Verification is on January 31, 2025.
Ministry of Tribal Affairs, New Delhi has taken up a major decision and will be implemented on NSP portal form AY 2024-25 that includes Aadhaar to be made mandatory for all applicants. However for minor applicants who apply without Aadhaar, it will be mandatory for parent or legal guardians to provide Aadhaar. Aadhaar-based biometric authentication and eKYC to be made mandatory from 2024-2025. All scholarship payments will be processed using the Aadhaar Payment Bridge (APB) system, so students need to ensure that their bank accounts are linked with their Aadhaar numbers. Heads of Institutes or Institute Nodal Officers will be required to perform eKYC, including biometric or face-authentication, to verify applications through their NSP logins.
Students who have already received an OTR (One Time Registration) number can directly apply for the scholarship on the NSP portal. For those who have not received their OTR number via SMS, it can be retrieved using the “Know Your OTR” available on the NSP portal.
Students who have received a Reference Number, NSP has allotted the reference no. to the students who have completed the OTP based eKYC and have not completed their face-authentication in AY 2023-24. OTR no. can now be obtained by completing face-authentication on NSP
