NCDC TO HONOUR COOPERATIVE SOCIETIES ON MARCH 14

The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) under the scheme Regional Awards for Cooperative Excellence and Merits-2023 will honouring the Cooperative Societies which have shown outstanding performance during the year 2022-23 in order to recognize the contributions and services rendered by the Co-operative Societies registered in the State of Goa.
A committee under the Chairmanship of Secretary (Cooperation), Government of Goa is constituted to select the societies for the awards. This Committee is entrusted with the responsibility of selecting the Cooperative Societies of outstanding merit in the field of Cooperation for the year 2023.
The application from the societies were invited in the prescribed form devised by the NCDC and in reply 30 duly filled nominations were received out of which following 8 societies were selected for the awards – Merces V.K.S.S. Society Ltd., Merces- Goa bagged the First Prize- Excellence and Surla Kothambi V.K.S.S. Society Ltd., Surla, Bicholim bagged the Second Prize- Merit under Best Primary Credit Coops.
Under Credit Societies, the First Prize for Excellence was bagged by South Goa District Madgaon School Complex Cooperative Credit Society, Margao-Goa while the Second Prize-Merit was bestowed on The Shiroda Progressive Urban Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. Bhatim, Shiroda, Ponda-Goa.
Under Marketing Societies, the First Prize-Excellence was bagged by Goa Bagayatdar Sahakari Kharedi Vikri Saunstha Maryadit, Ponda-Goa while the Second Prize was bestowed on The Bardez Bazar Consumer Cooperative Society Ltd. Morod, Mapusa under Best Primary Cooperatives in Two Prominent Sector of the State.
Shri Brahmadev Mahila Sahakari Dudh Vyavasayik Sansth Maryadi, Brahmakarmali, Sattari-Goa and Dhenu Mahila Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sanstha Maryadit, Barazan, Usgao-Goa took the first and second prize respectively under Best Women Cooperatives.
The award presentation function is scheduled on 14/03/2024 at 4:30 pm, at Goa State Cooperative Bank, 6″ Floor, Sahakar Sankul, Patto, Panaji Goa.
