Hands over Memorandum to Union Minister

Minister for Water Resources, Shri Subhash Shirodkar objecting to unilateral Action of Central Water Commission, handed over memorandum to Union Minister for Jal Shakti Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat opposing to technical

clearance given by CWC to Karnataka State, for diversion of inter state Mhadei River water, at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh in the 1st State Minister Conference on Water Vision @ 2047 on Today.

Shri Shirodkar, in his representation, has strongly objected and informed that CWC has acted in a high handed, biased manner and against natural justice.

Knowing very well that the matter is subjudice, before the Hon Supreme Court of India and is being opposed by the State of Goa at all forums . CWC without the consent of the State of Goa in haste have issued technical clearance for diversion

Of Mahadei River. He demanded that the said clearance should be withdrawn Immediately, as the alleged diversion of Mahadehi river water, will cause Immense damage to the water security, ecology salinity, water balance river ecology, environment.
