International Women’s Day Celebration By GSACS

Goa State AIDS Control Society (GSACS) celebrated International Womens Day with the theme ‘Choose to Challenge’ in collaboration with NGO ARZ.

The main purpose of the community event was to have various women from different walks of life, interact and discuss how they have challenged the world. Women also participated in the activities like nail art, mehendi and flower making at the venue and showcased their talents.

Informative sessions on legal provision for women, Sexually transmitted Diseases, Women and HIV and Safety with special emphasis on preventing sexual abuse were conducted by Dr. A. Siona Gomes, Project Director, GSACS, Smt. Sayonara Telles Laad, Dr. Lalitha Umraskar and Ms. Julianna Lohar.

Ms. Bhimavva presented a demonstration on flower making, as informed by Department of Information and Publicity.
