ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON ‘BASIC KONKANI LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY’ FOR ASPIRANTS FOR COMPETITIVE EXAMS

The Directorate of Official Language in collaboration with the Directorate of Art and Culture will be organizing a free one-day workshop titled “Basic Konkani Language Proficiency” for candidates preparing for competitive examinations conducted by the Goa Staff Selection Commission (GSSC). The workshop will be held on October 27, 2026, from 9:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m at the Multipurpose Hall, Ground Floor, Directorate of Art and Culture, Panaji. Shri Naguesh Sardesai will be the resource person for the workshop.

Designed to enhance linguistic skills essential for administrative examinations, the sessions will cover the fundamentals of the Konkani language, elementary grammar, everyday and official vocabulary, and reading and writing proficiencies. Candidates pursuing a graduation degree or higher and up to 45 years of age are eligible to attend, with priority given to students from non-Konkani academic streams such as Commerce, Science, Political Science, and History.

Participation is strictly limited to 100 seats, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Mandatory pre-registration must be completed through the online Google Form link (https://forms.gle/rBtqBFN2VJZ9VkEVA) on or before October 22, 2026. Aspiring candidates preparing for GSSC examinations are advised to register early to secure their seats.
