DoE URGES TO DISPLAY CHILD HELPLINE NUMBER AT PROMINENT PLACES

Display of ‘Child Helpline number 1098’ in the schools is mandatory to all the Heads of the Government/Govt. aided/unaided Schools in the State of Goa. Directions have been already issued by the Directorate of Education urging that ‘Child helpline number (1098) be displayed at various other prominent places, in schools and other public places.

It may be informed that Hon’ble Supreme Court has taken Suo Moto cognizance of alarming rise in the number of child rape cases in the country related to The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences'(POSCO) Act.
