CM HOLDS HIGH LEVEL MEETING TO REVIEW LPG SUPPLY
Panaji : March 13, 2026
Chief Minister Dr.Pramod Sawant chaired a High-Level Meeting with Chief Secretary, Secretary Civil Supply, SLC and heads of all OMCs, District Collectors and Taluka Civil Supply Inspectors to monitor the situation of supply of LPG to the consumers.
Chief Minister assured the people of Goa that there is sufficient domestic LPG and will be supplied to consumers as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas,New Delhi. There is no need to fear and panic. Further in line with the Government’s commitment to ensuring transparency, convenience, and efficiency in LPG distribution and in pursuance of guidelines issued by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the measures are being emphasized for all domestic LPG consumers.
A 25 day minimum booking gap has been introduced (i.e.) 25-day gap between last LPG cylinder delivered and the next bookings. Consumers must carefully track delivery dates, and book cylinder after 25 days, as early bookings are automatically rejected. This gap of 25 days is lock-in period for booking.
Consumers are encouraged to book LPG cylinders through digital platforms (mobile apps, websites, WhatsApp, SMS, and IVRS). This eliminates the need for physical visits to distributors, ensuring a queue-free experience and panic situation at the Distributors. Upon successful booking, consumers receive a message/notification from the service provider (max 2 – 3 hours). This serves as proof of booking and helps track delivery status seamlessly. It also serves to check the genuine consumer and control supply. Also it rule out the possibility of hoarding.
LPG agencies will not entertain walk-in bookings. All requests must be routed through authorized online or telephonic channels. This ensures fair distribution and avoids crowding at distributor premises. The standard time from booking to delivery of domestic LPG cylinders remains 2 ½ days, unchanged from pre-crisis norms.
No booking, no delivery: Cylinders will only be delivered against valid digital bookings and on the basis of OTP / Delivery Authentication Code. Consumers are advised to keep their registered mobile numbers active to receive booking and delivery updates.
Therefore, every consumer of Domestic LPG is appealed to follow above guidelines for smooth and efficient distribution/ supply of LPG for cooking.
