MCC ENFORCED FOR CCP ELECTIONS

The Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has come into force with effect from February 16, 2026 upon announcement of elections Corporation of the City of Panaji to ensure free, fair and peaceful of elections within the jurisdiction of CCP.

And all political parties, contesting candidates, authorized agents, star campaigners, supporters and public at large are directed to strictly comply with the following instruction.

No public meeting, rally, roadshow, padyatra, corner meeting, vehicle rally, cultural programme with political content or any other gathering shall be held without prior written permission from the Returning Officer, Applications shall clearly indicate Venue/location, date & time, route plan (if procession), expected crowd strength and details of sound vehicles.

Use of loudspeakers will also require prior written permission and will strictly adhere to Noise Pollution (Regulation & Control) Rules, time restrictions as prescribed by law and directions issued Authorities.

Violation of MCC or lawful directions will be attract action under CCP Act, Representation of the People Act, 1951, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and standing order and Instructions of the Goa State Election Commission from time to time.

Permission granted for any event is liable to be withdrawn in case of violation of conditions. All stakeholders and public at large are directed to ensure strict compliance. Non-compliance will be viewed seriously and dealt with firmly.
