GOVT. DESIGNATES APPELLATE AUTHORITY FOR TRANSGENDER PROTECTION

Directorate of Social Welfare has informed that the Secretary (Revenue) has been designated as a “Appellate Authority” for the purpose and intent of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Right) Act, 2019 and the Transgender Persons (Protection of Right) Rules 2020.

The Appellate Authority will hear and dispose of Appeals filed by the aggrieved persons against the decision/ orders of the Complaints Officer, designated under Section 11 of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 and 2020.
