IT MINISTER FELICITATES WINNERS OF GOA CODES 2025

Appreciating impressive implementation of CARES Scheme across the State, Minister for Information and Technology Shri. Rohan Khaunte emphasized on the need for students to become job givers and not job seekers. He was speaking at a felicitation programme of Taluka and State level winners of Goa Codes 2025 and Reel making competition under Coding and Robotics Education for Schools (CARES) organised by the Directorate of Technical Education at Panaji yesterday.
Minister Shri. Khaunte encouraged students to have high goals in life and achieve great success in the field of digital innovations.
CARES is a unique scheme implemented by the State Government making education sector more dynamic. Goa is going in the right direction in creating conducive environment for employment generation in digital sector, Shri. Khaunte said.
He congratulated all the prize winners for their innovative projects.
The Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Coding and Robotics Education in Schools (CARES) Scheme, operating under the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is tasked with propagating coding and Robotics Education in all Government and Aided Schools.
Director, Technical Education Shri. Bhushan Savaikar, Director, Education Shri. Shailesh Zingade, Assistant Director Shri. Melvyn Dcosta were present on the occasion.
Director of CARES Shri. Vijay Borges in his welcome remarks informed about various activities undertaken for the students upskilling in coding and robotics.
The event aimed to felicitate students who have excelled in the initiatives of CARES scheme designing and computing thinking.
