CERTIFICATE COURSE IN SAFETY AND HEALTH

Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers has conducted “Four Weeks Certificate Course in Safety and Health for Supervisory Personnel working in Hazardous Process Industries” at Panaji.

Chief Inspector of Factories and Boilers, Shri Anant Pangam, highlighted the importance of course in meeting the provisions prescribed under Section 41C of the Factories Act, 1948.

Realizing the need for qualified persons, the Department has been conducting such courses to provide the supervisors an opportunity to gain insight of safe system and procedures enabling them to identify and control the hazards that will result in a great degree of risk reduction.

It also aims to develop an interdependent safety culture meaning each one takes care of his own safety, as well as safety of their colleagues and others.

Inspector of Factories and course co-coordinator, Shri Premanand Gaude proposed the vote of thanks and Curator, Shri Sanjay Velip, compared the function.
