9TH INDIA INTERNATIONAL FOLK FESTIVAL ON OCT. 07, 2025

Directorate of Art and Culture, Goa and Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi will be jointly organizing 9th India International Folk Festival 2025. The festival will be inaugurated by the Minister for Art & Culture, Shri Ramesh Tawadkar in presence of other dignitaries at Master Dinanath Mangueshkar Auditorium, Kala Academy, Panaji on October 07, 2025 from 5.00 p.m. to 7.30 pm.

Folk Dance groups and Musical Bands from Poland, Malta and Goa will be presenting the Folk Dances and Musical Fusion/ Concerts in this festival. The festival will celebrate the rich tapestry of global traditions of Folk, vibrant music and dance, beautifully showcasing the essence of Unity in Diversity.

The evening will showcase mesmerizing performance: songs and dance ensemble ziemia bydgoska (Poland) fusion folk group ‘Kantera’ (Malta), Samainritya and Dekhaninritya (Goa) Ghumot echoes: Rhythm of Goa.

The event will provide an opportunity for international cultural exchange and promote Goa as a hub of global cultural activity, and strengthen bilateral cultural ties between international communities.
