GOVERNOR EXTENDS GREETINGS ON DURGA PUJA

Governor of Goa, Shri. Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju on the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Goa.

Governor in his message said that, Durga Puja is one of the most vibrant and significant festivals celebrated with great enthusiasm across India. This auspicious occasion honors Goddess Durga, the embodiment of feminine power, courage,and righteousness. It symbolizes the victory of good over evil, as the goddess triumphs over the demon Mahishasura, restoring peace and harmony in the universe.

The Governor added, that the festival is not just a religious event but also a cultural extravaganza that brings people together in joyous celebration. Durga Puja serves as a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience within all of us to overcome adversity and injustice.

The Governor further said that, beyond its religious significance, Durga Puja  promotes unity, social bonding, and cultural heritage. It is a time when families reunite, friends gather, and communities engage in acts of kindness and sharing. The festival fosters a spirit of togetherness and mutual respect, transcending barriers of caste, creed, and age.

As we celebrate Durga Puja, let us reflect on the values that Goddess Durga stands for courage, compassion, and the unwavering spirit to fight for justice, the Governor added. May this festival inspire us to embrace these qualities in our own lives and work towards a more harmonious and inclusive  society.
