ARTS AND CULTURE DRAWING COMPETITION

Panaji: September 24, 2025

The Directorate of Art and Culture in joint collaboration with West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur will be organizing a drawing competition for the school & college students and painting workshop/competition for the professional artists between September 27, 2025. to, October 1, 2025 in Goa. The topic for the competition is Vikasit Bharat’.

The schools are invited to submit 5 entries from std. 5th to 10th on A3 size drawing sheet along with the duly filled participation form to the Directorate of Art and Culture on or before October 1, 2025 during office hours. The prizes amounting to Rs. 10,000, Rs. 5,000/- and Rs. 2,500/- will be awarded as 1st 2nd & 3rd respectively, also 3 consolation prizes will be awarded of Rs. 1,000/- each.

For degree & professional college students the competition will be held on – September 27, 2025 from 11 a.m. onwards at Dr. K. B. Hedgewar High School, Cujira Bambolim, Goa. Each college shall nominate 5 students only by submitting duly filled form before September 27, 2025. A3 size drawing sheet and 12 shades of crayon pastels, will be provided, student must bring other required materials. The prizes amounting to Rs. 25,000/-, Rs. 15,000/- & 10,000/- will be awarded for 1st, 2nd . and 3rd respectively.

For the professional artists competition will be held on September 28, 2025 from 10am onwards at Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto- Panaji Goa for the degree holders of Fine Arts only. A Canvas (24″ X 30″) & Colours will be provided. The prizes amounting to Rs. 1,00,000/-, Rs. 50,000/- & 25,000/- will be awarded for 1st 2nd . and 3rd . winner respectively.
