CM EXTENDS TEACHER’S DAY GREETINGS

Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant has extended his greetings on the occasion of teacher day.
Chief Minister in his message said that on September 5th is observed as the Teachers’ Day, to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India. He was a teacher par excellence, a great Philosopher and a noted educationist. His contributions to nation building are invaluable and its impact immeasurable.
The Teachers Day is celebrated as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. Teachers’ pivotal role in nation building has been well acknowledged. They help us to become good human beings, a better member of society and an ideal citizen of the country. They mentor young minds and guide them to become responsible citizens, Chief Minister said.
Teachers should ignite the desire for inquiry and knowledge amongst their students, to bring out and develop their creativity, so that this human resources can be channeled constructively in this great task. In addition, teachers should have a mission of giving vision to students and teachers need to transform themselves into role models, Chief Minister said.
On this occasion, I extend my warm and very sincere greetings to the teaching community across the State of Goa. I also congratulate the recipients of CM-Vashistha Guru Puraskar 2024-25. May you continue to inspire, educate and guide with the same passion and dedication that have always been the hallmark of our great educators, Chief Minister concluded.
