WEIGHTLIFTING MEN/WOMEN TEAM SELECTED

Goa University has selected the Weightlifting Women team for participation at the AIU’s South West Zone Inter University Weightlifting Women Championship 2025-26 to be held at SAGE University, Bhopal (M.P) from January 10 to 11, 2026.

The kit distribution and farewell function for the teams was held at Sports Section, Goa University in the presence of Mr. Balachandra Jadar, University Asst. Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University, Mr. Dinesh Patil, Assistant Sports Officer, Goa University.

Goa University’s Weightlifting Women team consists of Rizel Agnela Fernandes, Akansha Ashok Parsekar, Blazia Rebelo, Iram Irshad Khatri, Pushpa Vishwakarma, Agnes Fernandes, Joviette Emelia Moniz and Sakshi Haldankar.

Mr. Tanuj Kinalkar, Coach  and Ms. Prissie Fernandes Manager.

Similarly, Goa University has selected the Weightlifting Men team for participation at the AIU’s South West Zone Inter University Weightlifting Women Championship 2025-26 to be held at SAGE University, Bhopal (M.P) from January 13 to 15, 2026.

Goa University’s Weightlifting Men team consists Gorakshnath Waifalkar, student Athlete and Dr. Ameet Pednekar, Coach cum Manager.
