ST. JOSEPH VAZ COLLEGE WINS INTER COLLEGIATE CYCLING MEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2025-26.

St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim won the Goa University’s Inter Collegiate Cycling Men’s Championship 2025-26 held on December 11, 2025, organized by Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim under the aegis of Goa University at Navelim-Goa. Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim got the Runners up position and third place was won by Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem. Around 50 participants from different colleges in Goa took part in the cycling race covering a 35 kilometer course.

In Individual Category, first Place was bagged by Shri Atharv Sawant from Sant Sohirobananth Ambiye Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem. Second Place was bagged by Bhavesh Naik from St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim while third place was won by Shri. Vignesh Naik from St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim.

The chief guest for the valedictory function was Shri Avertano Furtado, the former Minister for RDA, Fisheries, NRI Affairs, and Labour. Guest of Honour, Prof. Helic Barreto, Principal, Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim along with Dr. Francis Lobo, College Director of Physical Education and Sports, Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim; Shri Balachandra B. Jadar, Assistant Director of Physiacl Education and Sports, Goa University; Dr. Rajan Mathew, Associate Professor and Director of Physical Education at Government College, Quepem; Dr. Avertano Barretto, former College Director of Physical Education, Don Bosco College of Engineering, and Shri Avidh A. Morajkar, Assistant Sports Officer, Goa University graced the occasion and presented medals and trophies to the winners.
