SECOND RANDOMIZATION OF EVMS & VVPATS UNDERTAKEN

The Deputy Registrar of Goa College of Engineering has announced the schedule for the Second Randomization of EVMs and VVPATs, as well as the preparation of EVMs and VVPATs to be used in the bye-election to the 21-Ponda Assembly Constituency.

The Second Randomization of EVMs and VVPATs is carried out by the Returning Officer to allocate EVMs and VVPATs to polling station-wise through the EVM Management System (EMS) developed by the Election Commission of India. Detailed instructions regarding the Second Randomization of EVMs and VVPATs are provided in the Manual on Electronic Voting Machines, which is available on the ECI website: https://www.eci.gov.in/evm-vvpat.

The schedule of Second Randomization will be held on 28/03/2026 at 11.00 am in the Chamber of the Returning Officer, 2nd Floor, Government Building Complex, Tisk, Ponda-Goa.The preparation of EVMs and VVPATs will be carried out on 31/03/2026 at 10.00 am in the Meeting Hall, First Floor, Government Building Complex, Tisk, Ponda-Goa and the strong room will be opened at 8.30 am.

These processes will be done in presence of the Contesting Candidates/their representatives. The lists of EVMs and VVPATs allocated Polling Station wise and reserve EVMs and VVPATs will be shared with all the Contesting Candidates and only these EVMs and VVPATs will be used in the allocated Polling Stations on poll day.
