OFFICERS VISITS TO KAMALA NAIK HOUSE TO VERIFY THE FACTS

The official visited the house of Smt. Kamala Vasant Naik alias Ms. Kamalawa Malappa Megeri, residing at House No. 1141, Segundo Bairro, Calapur, St. Cruz, Tiswadi to verify the facts, following media reports regarding an alleged incident involving a woman with disability who is having no Aadhaar card, disability certificate, DSS certificate, or house.

During the visit today, it was found that the lady, Smt. Kamala possess an Aadhaar card. However, the Aadhaar was not linked to an active mobile number. Officials assisted her in updating the Aadhaar by linking it with a valid mobile number through biometric verification using a portable device.

Smt. Kamala Naik also holds a Senior Citizen Biometric Card issued by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Ration Card issued by Food and Civil supplies, an EPIC (Voter ID) card — with also her SIR details recently received by the BLO — and has a Canara Bank account, which requires reactivation through biometric verification.

Swayampurna Mitra, Panchayat Secretary, Local BLO, Social Welfare field Official, Food and Civil officials, Canara Bank officials, Drag President visited and attended Smt Kamala.
