GU EMERGES AT THE TOP OF THE NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP CHALLENGE 2025 BY IIT BOMBAY

Goa Business School (GBS), Goa University, has achieved a remarkable national milestone as its student team secured All India Rank 1 at the National Entrepreneurship Challenge (Basic Track) 2025, organised by IIT Bombay, with the grand finals held on December 12, 2025 at the IIT Bombay Powai, Mumbai. With this achievement, Goa Business School has now qualified for the Advanced Track of the National Entrepreneurship Challenge 2026, placing the institution among the top entrepreneurship-driven campuses in the country.
The National Entrepreneurship Challenge is a prestigious, year-long national competition that witnesses participation from colleges and universities across India, evaluating teams on entrepreneurial thinking, leadership, execution, strategy, and innovation across multiple phases. Goa Business School competed with top institutions from across the country and emerged as the national winner.
The competition comprised multiple structured phases, including entrepreneurial awareness drives, problem identification, strategic planning, social media challenges, case-based tasks, leadership assessments, and final on-ground evaluation rounds at IIT Bombay. The consistent performance of the GBS team across all phases led to their qualification for the national finals, where they secured the top national position in Basic Track.
The students who represented Goa Business School at IIT Bombay for the NEC 2025 Finals are: Ayushi Kamrani – MSc Integrated Data Science (Part 3), StudentCoordinator/Leader, Adriella Vaz – MSc Integrated Data Science (Part 4)Sharv Biche – MBA (Part 1), Analia Fernandes – MBA (Part 1), Leeanne Souza Albuquerque – MBA (Part 2) and Felicia Mascarenhas – MBA (Part 1).
The successful team was guided and mentored by faculty advisor Asst. Prof. Teja Khandolkar. The students expressed sincere gratitude to the Honourable Vice-Chancellor Sr. Prof. Harilal B. Menon, Registrar Prof. Sunder N. Dhuri, Dean GBS Sr. Prof.Purva Hegde Dessai, Vice Dean GBS Prof. Ramrao Wagh, Director of DI3P Prof. Sandeep Garg, Prof.Jyoti Pawar,Prof. Nilesh Borde and all supporting departments and faculty members of Goa Business School for their constant guidance, encouragement, and belief in student-led initiatives.
