DM NORTH PROHIBITS ROAD DIGGING IN NORTH GOA

Panaji: November 26, 2025

District Magistrate, North Goa has prohibited digging of all types of roads, road shoulder/lanes or thoroughfare’s or a part thereof in the territorial jurisdiction of North Goa District. Also directed that departments who are engaged in ongoing activities related to road digging/road cutting should restore the roads to its original condition with immediate effect.

Order is issued following visit of VVIP to Goa Scheduled on November 28, 2025 and any road digging activity by the utility agencies like Public Works Department, Electricity Department, Drinking Water Department, SIDCGL, GSIDC, National Highway etc may lead to breakdown of BSNL Under Ground Cable/Optical fiber Cable and can cause interruption to the vital telecom facilities.
