DM NORTH IMPOSES BAN ON HEAVY VEHICLES AT CANDOLIM

District Magistrate, North Goa has notified ban on the movement of all heavy goods vehicles and sewerage tankers between 10:00 a.m to 10.00 p.m. except water tankers being essential commodity services near Jambleshwar Temple at Ximer (stretch of road from Jambleshwar Temple at Ximer, Candolim upto Sinquerim), near Hilton Hotel at Saipem (stretch of road from Saipem up to Candolim Tinto), near Nerul bridge (stretch of road from Nerul Bridge upto Aba de Faria, Candolim) within the jurisdiction of Village Panchayat Candolim, Bardez.

The notification has been issued following the situation that heavy goods vehicles carrying consumable products are seen parked on the road side during the course of the day causing unwanted traffic congestion. Sewage tankers are also often seen continuously plying on the road within the jurisdiction of Village Panchayat Candolim causing obstruction to other vehicular movement.
