GOVERNOR CONCLUDES “KHUSHAL KALYAN YATRA” BY HIS TODAY’S VISIT

Governor Shri P. S. Shreedharan Pillai concluded his “Khushal Kalyan Yatra” by visiting three holy places in the capital city today. First Lady of Goa Smt. Rita Shreedharan Pillai was also present.

The Governor visited Shree Mahalaxmi Temple, Jama Masjid and Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church in Panaji. Through this visit the Governor has concluded his yatra.

The Governor during his yatra has donated around Rs 20 lakhs to all the holy places that he visited under Khushal Kalyan Yatra.

The Governor on arrival at Shree Mahalaxmi temple was welcomed by Shri Gaurish Dhond and other committee members. The Governor was also felicitated on behalf of the committee by offering Shawl in the temple premises.

Shri Shaikh Hassan Mustafa and other committee members of Jama Masjid welcomed the Governor and others by giving bouquets of flowers on his arrival at Jama Masjid.

To conclude his Khushal Kalyan Yatra the Governor visited Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church in Panaji. The Governor and First Lady of Goa were welcomed by Parish Priest of the Church Fr. Ciprian D Silva and Fr. Heston Fernandes and others.

The Governor presented a cheque of Rs. 50,000/ each to all the holy places that he visited today.

During Khushal Kalyan Yatra the Governor offered prayers at all the places of worship that he visited, invoking divine blessings for peace, happiness and welfare of the people of Goa and the Nation. The Governor also thanked the people of Goa and the committee members of all the holy places that he visited for their support and felicitations.

The Governor was accompanied by Shri Sanjeev Gauns Desai, Secretary to the Governor, Shri Mihir Vardhan, Special Officer to Governor, Shri, Sanjeev Sardesai, Historian and Shri A. Kalyana Harsha, Comptroller of Governor’s Household and others.
