DM SOUTH ISSUES TENANT VERIFICATION ORDER

District Magistrate, South Goa District, Margao has issued order concerning tenant verification and security measures in the district. All the owners of the houses, building, flats and other residential accommodation and the Owners/Management of all Hotels, Lodging & Boarding, shacks, Private guest houses, Paying Guest facilities, religious bodies, offering temporarily residential accommodation etc in the south Goa District should verify the bonafides of the persons through their proof of identity such as Election Card, Driving License, Aadhar Card, Passport, Smart Card, etc

It is further stated that, no landlords/tenants/owner/person of any house/ property which falls under the territorial jurisdiction of South Goa District, Goa shall let/sublet/rent out any accommodation to any person unless and until he/ she has furnished the particulars of the tenants to the Police In-Charge of the concerned Police Station.

In Charges of such accommodation should provide such facilities for inspection of the maintenance of record in the above said software by the Police authorities or any other authority authorizes by the District Magistrate if so desired by them

Similarly, all the head of nationalized banks of South Goa District should deploy security guards for security of their ATM’s round the clock and also to install CCTV cameras or shall installed ESS (Electronic Survey System) equipped with Panic button hooter, CCTV Cameras, two-way communication system & remote outstanding control.

The order will remain in operation for a period of 60 days unless withdrawn earlier
