Come Shravan, the most auspicious month in the Hindu Calendar Year and the officials of the Department of Information and Publicity which is the Nodal Agency of the State Government to disseminate information on various aspects through different modes of communication eagerly awaits to celebrate their annual Shree Satyanarayan Mahapuja in the office premises. As decided in the meeting of the Recreation Club of the Department the puja is scheduled on September 9, 2023, five days ahead of the conclusion of holy Shravan month.

Adhering to its prevailing practice of celebrating Shree Satyanarayan puja in the month of Shravan only, barring couple of years in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic the officials attached to the Department celebrate puja with gaiety, enthusiasm and religious fervor, despite the same being held on holidays every year.

This year, Shri Purushottam H. Parwar, a Multi-Tasking Staff and his spouse Smt Poonam Parwar will perform the puja ceremony. The religious rituals will begin at 9.00 a.m. on September 9 which will be followed by Aarati, Bhajan, Tirth Prasad and Mahaprasad.

The highlight of the puja celebration for this year will be the presentation of Bhajan by women attached to Srikrishna Nagzarkar, Bal Bhajani Mandal, Nagazar-wada, Bhoma. Whereas, Aarti will be presented by the officials of the Department as usual.

It may be noted that every year apart from VIP’s several devotees including elected representatives of local self Government bodies, Media persons and panjimites at large visit the Department to offer prayers and invoke blessings on the occasion of puja.
