GOVT DELEGATION OF ASSAM VISITS GOA TO STUDY SWAYAMPURNA GOA

After the successful  implementation of Swayampurna Goa Programme which was initially launched in October 2020, The Government of Goa under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant  had re-launched Swayampurna Goa 2.0 Program in a mission mode. The mission is to lay maximum emphasis on ensuring that the benefit of each and every beneficiary oriented scheme reaches every citizen in the State.

Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi not only appreciated the Swayampurna Goa concept but also directed other States to implement the same concept in their State. The program has gained popularity in other States and as a result many neighbouring states are visiting Goa to understand the concept.

 A delegation from the Government of Assam led by Shri. Bikram Kairi, IAS Commissioner and  P &RD, Assam, Smt Bipanchi Dutta ACS, Assistant Commissioner, Shri Bipul KR Das ACS Assistant Commissioner, Dr Jayanta KR Goswami ACS Addl Commissioner and Smt Anamika Dey, State Programme manager  are on a two days visit to the State to understand the Swayampurna Goa program today.

 Directorate of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation Director, Shri. Vijay  B Saxena  welcomed the Officers from Government of Assam in the interaction programme which was held at Secretariat Porvorim. Shri Saxena  explained the  concept of Swayampurna Goa program – how it was initiated, implemented, executed, overall outcome of the program, key achievements of the program and special initiatives taken by the Swayampurn Mitras under the Swayampurna Goa Programme.

Under Secretary to Chief Minister, Smt Isha Sawant , Taluka Nodal Officer Salcete Taluka Dr Levinson Martins, Swayampurna Mitras, namely, Shri. Gurudas Dessai, Shri. Subraj Kanekar and Smt. Nancy Fernandes interacted with Officers from Assam and shared their achievements through Swayampurna Goa Programme.

Smt Isha Sawant briefing her journey as a Swayampurn Mitra informed them about the field experience, issues and challenges faced at various stages and best practices implemented under Swayampurna Goa Program at the Panchayat.

Officers from Assam appreciated the initiatives implemented under the Swayampurna Goa.
