Panaji: April 16, 2022
Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant extended his greetings and wishes to the people of the State on the occasion of Easter, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. CM extended his heartiest greetings particularly to the Christian brethren on the joyous occasion of Easter.
Chief Minister Dr. Sawant in his message said, “The day of Easter marks the Resurrection of Jesus, three days after his death by crucifixion, signaling the victory of life over death. Easter is the joyful end to the Lenten season of fasting.
‘Jesus Christ preached the eternal values of love, compassion, brotherhood and forgiveness that are relevant to today’s world afflicted by evils. Easter reminds us all to follow our conscience to work for others. It teaches us about charity, compassion, responsibility and forgiveness’, CM added.
The CM further said, “This Easter, let us intensify our prayer for the world as we continue to celebrate the victory of Christ over evil, hoping that we may be freed from the restraints that keep humanity locked up in darkness. Let us pledge to strive for the welfare of others and let peace and harmony prevail. Let us try to make the world a better place to live in. May the Easter celebration inspire everyone to win over sin & bring greater peace, prosperity and happiness to all,” CM concluded.
