ROAD ACCIDENT STATISTICS FOR AUGUST 2025

The Directorate of Transport has compiled their monthly report of the number of accidents that occurred and number of Challans issued for the month of August 2025. A total of 8921 challans were issued for the month of August. Further as per the report, there were 166 road accidents of which 09 were Fatal Accident (North Goa – 04 and South Goa – 05), 16 Grievous Accidents (North Goa – 10 and South Goa – 06), 22 Minor Accidents (North Goa – 13 and South Goa – 09) and 119 Non – Injury Accidents (North Goa – 47 and South Goa – 72).

The total number of persons who lost their live in road accident were 09 (North Goa – 04 and South Goa – 05), 20 people were Grievous Injured (North Goa – 11 and South Goa – 09), while 40 persons suffered Minor Injuries (North Goa – 14 and South Goa – 26).

Of those who lost their lives 07 were Riders (North Goa – 03 and South Goa – 04), 01 P/Riders (South Goa), and 01 Pedestrian (North Goa –01).
