GOVERNOR EXTENDS ONAM GREETINGS

The Governor, P Ashok Gajapathi Raju extended his warm greetings and best wishes to all the people of Goa and in particular to the Kerala community across the world on the auspicious occasion of Onam.

The Governor in his message said, “Onam is a vibrant celebration of prosperity, harmony and cultural heritage. “It commemorates the legendary reign of Maveli (King Mahabali) whose rule is remembered as a golden era of equality, justice and abundance. The festival beautifully reflects the values of unity, compassion and inclusiveness which are timeless and universal. The traditions of Onam from the intricate Pookkalam to the grand Onasadya, symbolize joy, togetherness and gratitude. It is also a reminder of the enduring message that true happiness lies in harmony and shared prosperity.”

“Let this Onam inspire us to uphold these values and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood in our society, Happy Onam”, the Governor concluded.
