DM – NORTH GOA IMPOSES PENALTY ON FOOD BUSINESS OPERATORS

The District Magistrate cum Adjudicating Officer, North has imposed fines on Proprietor and Food Business Operation and Retailer of M/s Rudra Kaju, SN7/183, Shop No.4, Calangute for misbranding as the samples of masala kaju/ plain kaju/ peel kaju had incomplete label declarations violating the provisions of the Labeling and Display Regulation of FSSAI 2011. Also the FBO was running food business operations in a unsanitary conditions violating provisions of the FSSAI (Licensing and Registration) Regulations 2011, FBO had not submitted the compliances as per the directions of the Authorities.
