GOVERNOR DESIGNATE ARRIVES IN GOA

The Hon. Governor Designate of Goa, Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju arrived at the Manohar International Airport in Mopa, today.

Shri Raju was welcomed by Minister For Protocol, Shri Mauvin Godinho. MLA, Shri Praveen Arlekar, Chief Secretary, Shri V Candavelou, IAS, Secretary Protocol, Shri Sanjeev Gadkar, IAS were also present.

Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, is the former Union Minister for Civil Aviation. He served as a member of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature for over two decades holding several important portfolios during his tenure as a legislative member.

On July 14, 2025, the President of India appointed Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju as the new Governor of Goa, succeeding Shri P. S. Sreedharan Pillai. Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju will take oath as the 22nd Governor of Goa at 11.30 am on July 26, 2025 at the New Durbar hall at the Raj Bhavan in Dona Paula.

Smt. Suneela Gajapathi Raju, Lady Governor(designate), daughter, Aditi Vijaya Lakshmi Gajapathi Raju Pusapati; Shri Raja Vasireddi Suneetha Prasad, MLA, Vizianagaram Constituency , Lt Cdr. Chandramouli Abhishek Dhiman, ADC to Designate Governor accompanied the Designate Governor.
