APPLICATIONS INVITED FOR SENIOR CITIZENS AWARDS

The Directorate of Social Welfare, has invited applications from outstanding Senior Citizens above the age group of 70 to felicitate them on the occasion of “International Day for the Senior Citizen” on October 1, 2025 at the State Level function.

Fourteen outstanding Senior Citizens will be felicitated by presenting a Momento, a Shawl, a Certificate, a Shrifal and Cash Award of Rs.5000/-. One (01) Senior Citizen from smaller Taluka and Two (02) Senior Citizens from bigger Taluka will be selected for felicitation.

Prescribed application forms are available at the counter of the Directorate of Social Welfare, Panaji & District Welfare Office, Margao, free of cost. Interested may apply in the prescribed application form with their Bio-data along with the testimonials/Social work done for the last 3 years (in hard copy and soft copy i.e. CD/Pen Drive), two passport size photo copy, 15 years Residence Certificate & submit to Directorate of Social Welfare, Panaji and District Welfare Office, Margao. The last date for accepting the application form is August 14, 2025 at 03:00 p.m. Application received after the due date will not be entertained.
