FARMERS URGED TO INCORPORATE AADHAAR SEEDED BANK DETAILS INTO KRISHI CARD

The Department of Agriculture has urged all farmers to incorporate Aadhaar seeded Bank details into Krishi card, farmer shall submit a copy of mandate form in prescribed format along with Bank Passbook/Cancelled Cheque to respective Zonal Agriculture Office.

It may be informed that the Government has directed that the disbursement to the beneficiaries, under all state sector schemes, has to be made exclusively through the Aadhaar Payment Bridge (APB) System.

It is therefore essential that the beneficiaries/farmers compulsorily seed their bank account with their Aadhaar number by way of submitting an application/consent form to the bank.

Aadhaar Payment Bridge (APB) System is used to electronically channel transfer government benefits and subsidies directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts. The Aadhaar number acts as the unique identifier, linking the beneficiary to their bank account and enabling electronic payments.

All beneficiaries are therefore informed that the last bank account which is seeded with the Aadhaar number will receive the benefit of the Government subsidies. Subsequently if a farmer does Aadhaar seed in in any other bank, the latest seeded bank account will receive the subsidy In such cases farmers shall intimate Zonal Agriculture Offices immediately and respective Zonal Agriculture Offices will then incorporate the details.
