INDIA PACING FAST TO BECOME THE FOREMOST STARTUP NATION – CM SAWANT

Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad (EDII) celebrated 43rd Foundation Day in the auditorium of Institute in Ahmadabad today. Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant addressed the audience virtually.
The high level delegation comprising 16 officers of Government of Goa led by Secretary, Industries, Shri Suneel Anchepaka IAS who are on visit to Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad (EDII) to study and brainstorm over strategies and measures to be taken to promote entrepreneurship in Goa also attended the programme. Shri Anchepaka IAS was the guest of honour for the programme.
Dr Piruz Khambatta, Chairman, Rasna Group, Honorary Consul General, South Korea (Gujarat); Chief General Manager & Zonal Head (Ahmedabad Zone) IDBI Bank Limited and Governing Board Member, EDII, Shri Dinesh Singh Rawat; Managing Director, EDC Limited, Goa, Shri B S Pai Angle; Director General, EDII, Shri Sunil Shukla, Shri Satya Acharya and Shri Raman Gujral of EDII were present on the occasion.
Chief Minister, Dr Sawant addressing virtually congratulated EDII Ahmadabad and also complimented Gujarat for its unique growth model and credited EDII for propagating Entrepreneurship in the country and outside. Shri Sawant Credited ADEII for making us to believe in the potential of the Entrepreneurship and for showing how entrepreneurs threats and competence can be learned and adopted. Today India is pacing fast on the path of becoming the foremost startup nation under the leadership of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and in this ADEII has significantly contributed Dr Sawant said. Talking about Goa, he said, people are willing to learn. There is an excellent policy support, investors are get attracted and outstanding infrastructure is also the major backbone. Goa is forward to boost the strong startup oriented ecosystem that can be worked hand in hand with the vision of Vikasit Bharat seeking to accomplish the mandate of Vikasit Goa. ADEII Goa Centre for promoting entrepreneurship along with EDC Ltd. Goa is helping to strengthen competence and create new ones. This Centre is significantly promoting growth of new entrepreneurship in new and upcoming areas, existing MSMEs, Entrepreneurship education and rural development he said.
Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS said, message of Chief Minister of Goa is very loud and clear – Goa would love to learn from EDII and would love to collaborate in all aspects. As an institution EDII has grown immesively and made a benchmark in entrepreneurship capacity building not only in India but also across the world. EDII has made incredible contribution not only in purple areas but also in rural ecosystem and showed how to transform rural livelihoods through the capacity building and bringing entrepreneurship in the minds of the people he said. EDII has given unparalleled contribution to build robust and inclusive entrepreneurship landscape. Goa is proud to associate with EDII on multiple fronts that are creating tangible and transformative outcomes. Goa, with its unique blend of culture, creativity, and commerce, is fast emerging as one of the most progressive states, he asserted.
The EDII-Goa Centre, along with the EDC Ltd., is playing a vital role in fostering entrepreneurial spirit across all sections of society, which is essential for achieving balanced and holistic growth. The youth of the region are coming forward with their creative ideas, which are being carefully incubated and nurtured into enterprises. Entrepreneurship is fast becoming a preferred career option Shri Anchepaka IAS said.
Dr. Piruz Khambatta said, “Entrepreneurship has come far; it is hailed as a powerful tool for socio-economic growth. The vision of Viksit Bharat is based on the pillars of entrepreneurship, skill development, technology, innovations and expanding markets. He commended EDII for envisioning growth on these factors, decades ago. Entrepreneurship and Skill Development will always be in need as it will continue to open the path of sustained growth for the country. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to EDII for training and inspiring people across sections and sectors to become entrepreneurs.”
Shri Sunil Shukla thanked Chief Minister, Goa Dr Pramod Sawant for all his support for the EDII. EDII also have its centre in Panjim Goa. He traced the genesis of EDII and emphasized the potential of entrepreneurship.
