CM LAUNCHES E-STAMPING SERVICE FOR STATE

Boosting an Administration through e-service initiatives, today Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant launched an e-Stamping Service for the State, wherein digital payment of stamp duty will be effective from April 1, 2025. E-Stamping will be mandatory for all instruments in which the Stamp dutyexceeds Rs.9,999/-.

Chief Minister Dr. Sawant said that, e-Stamping initiative will promote e- administration attributing seamless, secure and hassle free business in the State. Launching programme was held in the presence of Minister for Revenue Shri. Atanasio Monserrate, Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou IAS, Secretary, Revenue, Shri. Sandeep Jaques, IAS at Matralaya, Porvorim.

Record Keeping Agency to oversee the implementation of the computerized e-

stamp administration system.

e-Stamping will be made compulsory from April 1, 2025 towards stamp duty payable exceeds Rs.9,999/- and Stamp duty upto Rs.9,999/- e-Stamping will be optional at the discretion of the duty payer. If the stamp duty exceeds Rs.10 lakhs per transaction, payment should be made mandatorily through the Government treasury. It is also informed that, from April 1, 2025 Sub-treasury Offices in various talukas will also function as authorized collection centers, where people can avail e-stamping facility.

It is also informed that, Stamp duty for instruments registered before the Registering Officer through the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) will be paid via e-challan only upto March 31, 2025. The use of franking machines for stamp duty payments will be discontinued from April 1, 2025.

On the occasion MoU exchange held between Mazagon Dock Shipbuilding Ltd and Goa State Disaster Management Authority wherein e- stamping facility has been used. The MoU aims to upgrade the disaster management facility available with Goa State Disaster Management Authority with various advanced disaster management equipments, systems and infrastructure.
