PENALTY IMPOSED FOR SELLING SUB-STANDARD GINGER GARLIC PASTE

The Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration has informed that the Additional District Magistrate cum Adjudicating Officer, North has imposed penalty of Rs. 50,000/- each on M/s Shailendra Rishi Raj Industries India (I) Pvt. Ltd. D. No. 1-6/1, Shakti House, Kankanady Bypass raod, Manglore, Mahanagar Palika Area, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka and Shri Rajaneesh, nominee. Shri Gangadhar Poojarry (Wholesaler) M/s Ganga Enterprises, H. No. 51/22-A, Churchwada, Corlim, Tiswadi and Shri Praveen Kumar (Retailer) M/s Balaji Super Market, Shop No. B/24, ward No. XI, Betim, Reis Magos, Bardez for selling sub- standard ginger garlic paste with acetic acid 0.55% which is less than the permissible limits.

Food Safety Officer Miss Sujata Shetgoankar has filed the case with Adjudicating Officer.
