PRE RECRUITMENT SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Pre- Recruitment Skill Development Programme recently organized by College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sankhalim in collaboration with Smart Education Ponda for the T.Y. B.Com, and S.Y. B.com. students. The objective of the session was to equip students with essential skills required for pursuing a career in commerce and related fields.

The event commenced with Shri Prashant Bhonsle, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce, formally introducing the resource person Shri Dhiraj Borkar, Psychometric Career Counsellor, highlighting his achievements and contributions. Ms. Yakshita Vengurlekar, Assistant Professor in Commerce, presented a floral welcome to the resource person.

Mr. Dhiraj Borkar then took the stage sharing his insightful knowledge on skill development for Commerce Graduates. He emphasized that possessing theoretical knowledge alone is insufficient in today’s competitive job market. One needs to be well equipped with desirable skill set to be successful. The resource person also spoke about two test during the session- Psychometric Assessment and Personal Skill Assessment. These tests helped students identify their strengths, weaknesses, and potential career paths based on their skills and interests. Students were informed about various competitive and certification exams relevant to commerce graduates, along with preparation strategies to enhance their success rate.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Sarvashakti Ghadi, who gratitude to the Principal, Resource person, faculty, and all students for the contributions. In total, 61 students attended the session with great enthusiasm, making in valuable learning experience.

The session proved to be informative and interactive, providing students with a roadmap for skill development in their academic and professional journey.
