ROAD ACCIDENT STATISTICS FOR DECEMBER 2024

The Directorate of Transport has compiled their monthly report of number of accidents that occurred and number of Challan issued for the month of December 2024. As per the report, there were 243 road accident of which 23 were Fatal Accident (North Goa – 13 and South Goa – 10), 26 Grievous Accidents (North Goa – 10 and South Goa – 16), 35 Minor Accidents (North Goa – 10 and South Goa – 25) and 159 Non – Injury Accidents (North Goa – 90 and South Goa – 69).

The total number of persons who lost their live in road accident were 24 (North Goa – 14 and South Goa – 10), 39 people were Grievous Injured (North Goa – 15 and South Goa – 23), while 58 persons suffered Minor Injuries (North Goa – 16 and South Goa – 42).

Of those who lost their lives 16 were Riders (North Goa – 09 and South Goa – 07), 05 P/Riders (North Goa – 03 and South Goa – 02), 01 is a Driver (North Goa) and 02 Pedestrian (North Goa –01 and South Goa – 01).
