NATIONAL COMMISSION MEMBER CONCLUDES HIS 3 DAY VISIT TO THE STATE

Shri. Jathotu Hussain, member of National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, Government of India who was on a three day visit to Goa met various stakeholders and Government officials during his visit.
Speaking to the official media member of the National Commission said he has understood the local issues and will try to settle it on priority. The main issue he noticed is implementation of roaster and job reservations.
Shri. Jathotu Hussain further informed that he desires to visit tribal villages in Goa and will be visiting Goa soon. He also mentioned that in a village if the tribal population is 50% then scheduling of that particular village is important.
Shri. Jathotu Hussain visited Mormugao Port Authority, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Government of India at Headland, Sada and discussed with SC/ST Employees Association of Mormugao Port Trust and Dock Labour Board, today.
On the arrival of Shri. Jathotu Hussain at MPT Shri Prashant Parsekar, President of SC/ST Employees Association of Mormugao Port Trust and Dock Labour Board welcomed him. Shri Novidade Pinto, General Secretary, Shri Ajit Gaude, working President and other committee members were also present. Later, the Association discussed threadbare espouse the genuine issues pertaining to the employees association. They also handed over a memorandum to the member of the National Commission.
Later, Shri. Jathotu Hussain, member of National Commission for Scheduled Tribes had a meeting with Management of Mormugao Port Authority.
Shri. Jathotu Hussain was accompanied by Shri Sankar Reddy, Director of the Commision, Shri Deepak Karmalkar, Chairman, Goa Commission SC/ST, Shri Dasharath Redkar, Director, Tribal Welfare Department and other Officers and staff were present.
During his three days tour to Goa, Shri. Jathotu Hussain held meetings with Adv. Upaso Gaonkar President of All India Adiwasi Employees Federation, Goa unit and ST Employees of Goa Tourism Development Corporation, where Shri Ganesh Gaonkar, MLA and Chairman of Goa Tourism Development Corporation was present. Meeting was also held with Shri Vasudeo Meng Gaonkar, Former MLA and Chairman ST Finance Corporation, wherein discussions were held about Finance Corporation.
Shri Hussain also had a review meeting with Collector, North and South yesterday. Later, Member of the National Commission visited Ashram School in Amona, Poiguinim in Canacona. He also met Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Shri Ramesh Tawadkar and Minister for Art and Culture, Shri Govind Gaude and discussed on various topics.
