BLS AND ALS AMBULANCES TO BE LAUNCHED ON MARCH 12

Directorate of Health Services has informed that under the CSR initiative of Powergrid WR-1, 6 BLS & 2 ALS Ambulances will be launched at the hands of Health Minister, Shri Vishwajeet Rane at Vanbhavan-Altino Panaji Goa on March 12, 2024 at 11.00 am in the presence of Representative of Powergrid, Director & other officials under Directorate of Health Services.

Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances are typically emergency ambulances and aid the necessary medical support during the transit till the patient is transported to the hospital who are severely injured with life-threatening injuries. These BLS ambulances (6 nos.) would be handed over to the SDH Chicalim, CHC Pernem, CHC Canacona, PHC Siolim, PHC Quepem & PHC Corlim.

Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances, also known as Cardiac Ambulances, are designed specifically to assist patients suffering from cardiac diseases. These ALS Ambulances (2 nos.) will be handed over to the 108 cell.
