BHARAT HAS MADE REMARKABLE DEVELOPMENT IN ALL SECTORS: KHAUNTE
Minister for Tourism, Shri Rohan Khaunte, unfurling the national tricolour to commemorate the 75th Republic Day celebrations at the Collector’s Office in Mapusa today, stated that Goa, with the support of the Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has made remarkable developments in all sectors, and highlighted the numerous development projects completed in Goa, such as Manohar International Airport, the new Zuari Bridge, Atal Setu etc.
Speaking further, Shri Khaunte said, this year’s Republic Day theme is ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Bharat: Loktantra ki Matruka’, which represent India’s goals and position as a promoter of democracy. Shri Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, is working tirelessly to position our country as a global leader. Our country is known across the world for its ongoing infrastructure development in a variety of disciplines.
He said, Vikasit Bharat is an extremely creative and supporting step towards making India a fully developed country by 2047, when we will celebrate our 100th anniversary of independence. Through the Vikasit Bharat plan, we can create and comprehend the requirements and demands of each village and taluka in the state. This will play an important part in the government’s “Antodaya Tatva” initiative, which focuses on human development as well as infrastructural development.
Through Vikasit Bharat programme we are stepping towards economic growth,social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance. the Prime Minister working hard on Nation building, and numerous schemes were implemented so that we could focus on the Mahila Shakti, Yuva Shakti, Kisan Kalyan, and Garib Kallyan of the nation.
Speaking further, the Minister said that, having the Tourism and Information Technology portfolios allowed us to launch a number of reforms, initiatives, and infrastructure projects. Because Covid pandemic has had a significant impact on people’s attitudes towards tourism, and in order to keep our tourism business thriving, we must be prepared for any changes that may come in the future. Since the Covid epidemic, people have shown a desire in tourist sectors such as spiritual, wellness, and adventure, and in order to create this sort of infrastructure, we have expanded #Goa beyond beaches with new concepts.
I am quite happy to declare that Goa may be the first tourist state in the country, or the second or third state in the world, to pioneer the mode of regenerated tourism. Through this medium, we have started with three vertical pillars i.e. economics, environment and society. While focusing on spiritual tourism and improving tourist impressions of the Goas tourism sector, we have began to build 11 temples and establish a spiritual circuit in the region. This project will not only provide chances for youngsters, but will also aid in economic growth.
Initiatives have also been undertaken to improve the sports and software tourism industries in order to stimulate economic and human growth. During his visit to Goa for IEW 2024, the Prime Minister of India will launch two important projects in the capital city, one of which is a 3D printed building. This unique plan will undoubtedly improve the tourist sector and generate numerous job opportunities for the younger generation.
It is proud to announce that, being part of celebration of Amrit Kaal, in coming days almost in all 40 constituency around 75 location wifi connection will be installed for benefit of the student for their education and needy people. This effort will be extremely beneficial as long as the Har Ghar Fibre Scheme is not completely implemented. We have also focussed on policy, infrastructure, connectivity. In coming days policies like spiritual, adventure and wellness policy will be made for benefit of the society including accountability he added. The Minister also announce that, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti will be held in six locations across the state, including Margao, Mapusa, Vasco, Ponda, Bicholim, and Panaji, to raise awareness among the younger generation about the concepts and hard work that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has done for the welfare of the country.
Shri Khaunte also felicitated the Doctors from 7 constituency which includes Tivim, Mapusa, Siolim, Saligao, Calangute, Porvorim, and Aldona for their tremendous and dedicated services during covid pendamic and welfare of the society.
Later Shri Rohan Khaunte took salute from the march past of contingents of Goa Police, from college and high school students. Various cultural programmes were held on the occasion.
Additional Collector Mapusa Shri Pundalik Khorjuvekar, Deputy Collector Shri. Gurudas Desai, Mamlatdar Shri Pravin Gawas, Dy.SP, senior Government officials, freedom fighters were amongst those prominent persons present on the occasion.
